In today’s oversaturated media landscape, Audience Design (AD) offers a transformative approach to independent filmmaking by placing the story at the heart of engagement strategies. Originally developed at TorinoFilmLab, this innovative framework moves beyond traditional marketing, treating audience awareness not as a final step for distributors, but as a creative practice for directors and producers during development and filming. This masterclass introduces the CEE film community to the "story-based" methodology, showing how narrative themes, tone, and stylistic choices can be designed to build meaningful connections without compromising artistic integrity.
Benjamin Cölle – Audience Design szakértő, a Pluto Film ügyvezető igazgatója. Cölle kulturális tanulmányokat végzett (Humboldt Egyetem, Berlin / Goldsmiths, London), tapasztalt film- és cross-media producer, a Pixel Lab és a TorinoFilmLab alumnija. A Pluto Film vezetése mellett oktatóként és kutatóként dolgozik a babelsbergi KONRAD WOLF Filmegyetemen, valamint Audience Design tanácsadóként segíti többek között a World Cinema Fund és a BrLab projektjeit.

Filmmaking is a marathon of obsession. To bring a story to life, a director must sustain a specific fever—a devotion to a single image or narrative—for years. But how do we keep that inner fire burning when industry pressures, artistic shifts, and personal life constantly pull us away? In this panel, we explore how to turn raw passion into a sustainable creative praxis. It’s about moving beyond the "waiting phase" of development and finding joy in the daily act of doing. Whether in documentary or fiction, the challenge remains the same: you cannot just sit over a treatment forever—you have to go out and film.
Résztvevők:
- Tuza-Ritter Bernadett: Dokumentumfilm-rendező, vágó és mentálhigiénés szakember. Rendezői bemutatkozása, az A Woman Captured (Egy nő fogságban, 2017) hatalmas nemzetközi sikert aratott, a Sundance Filmfesztiválon debütált. Mentálhigiénés tanulmányai után az alkotók pszichológiai jólétére kezdett fókuszálni. Társalapítója a The Well-being Centernek, amely kifejezetten a film, televízió és színház területén dolgozók mentális egészségét támogatja.
- Tímár Sára: Filmrendező és fotóművész (MOME) háttérrel rendelkező alkotó. Fotográfiai munkáit világszerte kiállították (Amszterdam, Bázel, Koppenhága). Első dokumentumfilmje, az Under the Dance Floor a Eurodoc és az IDFAcademy keretein belül fejlődött, és 2026-ban a Fipadoc-on mutatkozott be.

BDFF 2026 – PITCHFORUM
A BDFF 2026 műhelymunkáinak résztvevői 8 nagyjátékfilm-tervet mutatnak be a közönség előtt.
A Zsűri tagjai:
- Horvát Lili: Budapesten született rendező, Párizsban és a Színművészeti Egyetemen tanult. Első filmje, a Szerdai gyerek Karlovy Varyban nyert, második játékfilmje, a Felkészülés meghatározatlan ideig tartó együttlétre Velencében debütált és Magyarország Oscar-nevezése volt. Jelenleg első angol nyelvű filmje, a My Notes on Mars (főszereplők: Mackenzie Davis, Rupert Friend) utómunkálatain dolgozik.
- Sipos Gábor: Oscar-díjas producer, a Laokoon Filmgroup társalapítója. Legismertebb munkája a Saul fia, amely elnyerte az Amerikai Filmakadémia díját, a Golden Globe-ot és a Cannes-i Nagydíjat is. Tagja az Európai Filmakadémiának.
- Ugrin Julianna: Európai Filmdíj-jelölt producer, az Éclipse Film alapítója. Filmjeit (pl. Egy nő fogságban, Könnyű leckék, A döntés) olyan fesztiválokon díjazták, mint a Sundance vagy az IDFA. A MADOKE elnöke, a Documentary Association of Europe (DAE) bizottságának elnöke és az SZFE óraadó tanára.
