Camp Nights – Best of Fast Forward
In the "Tábori éjszakák" (Camp Nights) block, we selected a collection of animated films, short fiction and documentaries made during the annual Fast Forward Programme filmmaking camp.
The aim of the FFP camp is to bring together young people between 18 and 35 years old who are interested in the film industry to create together for ten days. The summer camp takes place in a special environment far from Budapest, where participants work in small groups and are supported by mentors.

Our animated documentary Katacs is based on an almost one and a half hour interview with Katalin Varga (aka Katacs). The starting point of the conversation was the presentation of the technique of rolling pasta as a "motion" from the ancient past, but the thoughts went much further and we used these thoughts to put together a three-minute short film about food, soul and the added good, made with stop-motion technique (mostly paper cut-outs).
