How did you hear about the BDFF, and what expectations did you have when you arrived? (Where did you first learn about it, and what motivated you to take part?)
It was my producer, Jakub Viktorin, who came up with the idea to apply the BDFF with our film Victim. We were in a postproduction process with the film and it was a great opportunity to meet people from the industry and let them know about it.
How did you experience the professional and community atmosphere of the forum? (The format, overall vibe, participants, organization—anything that felt particularly defining to you.)
Although it was more than three years,I remember it was very friendly and supportive. We met many friends and learned about other new projects. We had very professional, but laid-back conversations.
Which workshops or programme elements did you find the most useful, and why?
The pitching session was helpful in a way that it was the first time we presented Victim as a “ready-made film” so through the BDFF we found out what is more interesting for the professional audience and what is not.
Where is the film you brought to the forum at now?
You can find it on VOD platforms, it gained recognition really nicely on festivals..
